We are thrilled to announce that we are making significant improvements to our Lower School playground thanks to the generosity of current parents Brian and Gretchen Colleran. Below are the updates that we are making:
We will repave the asphalt area and install two adjustable basketball hoops, allowing for two half-courts for play.
We will add an additional paved area with a new tetherball pole, along with two hopscotch and two four-square games.
We will replace the existing climbing dome with a new, safer rope-climbing structure.
We will replace the existing tire swing with a new multi-user disk swing.
We will add a Gaga Ball area.
We will add three new fitness structures.
We will add a handicapped-accessible, multi-person spinner.
We will set up the existing field for soccer with new soccer nets.
We will have a storage structure for recess and physical education equipment.
You can review the site plan for the new playground and see pictures of some of the new equipment that will be purchased.
We are so grateful to the Collerans for their support of this project. Their generosity will have an incredible impact on the physical fitness and recreation opportunities for our Lower School students.
