Jonathan Botek ’17 named National Merit Semifinalist
Congratulations to Jonathan Botek ’17, who has been named a National Merit Semifinalist! The semifinalists, who make up less than 1 percent of U.S. high school seniors, earned the highest PSAT scores in the nation. Jonathan now has the opportunity to qualify as a finalist and will be notified about that distinction in February.

Commended Students
And Congratulations to Rachel Allen ’16, Bennett Hilkert ’16 and Nikhil Nair ’16, who were named Commended Students in the National Merit Scholarship Program. Of the 1.6 million students who entered the 2017 competition by taking the 2015 PSAT or the NMSQT (National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test), about 34,000 were recognized across the county as Commended Students. They placed among the top five percent of test takers.
