Young men and women in Grades 7 through 12 come together from across the nation and around the world to live on campus in a safe, nurturing, and supportive coeducational environment as part of the boarding school program at Gilmour Academy.  Since its founding, Gilmour has hosted resident students, so we have a deep understanding of their needs and how to help them succeed.

The dean of residential life guides the program with the help of a staff of dedicated professionals to meet the needs of each student and maintain regular communication with the adults - parents, teachers, advisors, coaches and other mentors - who are so important in their lives.

With the strength of a structured program for life both on and off campus, residential students reap the benefits of developing habits and skills for succeeding in college and beyond.  Gilmour faculty and staff supervise study halls each night during the week to ensure students remain on track with their studies, and also keep up with students through regular personal advising and mentoring sessions.

Throughout the school year, residents have opportunities to attend holiday celebrations together, travel to cultural and recreational sites throughout Northeast Ohio and support their classmates in on-campus sporting and arts events.
