Montessori Program 

Our Montessori Program is one of only six in Ohio and the only one in Northeast Ohio to earn the American Montessori Society accreditation.   

Gilmour’s Montessori Program will open a new class for students ages 18 months to 36 months at the start of the new school year in August 2013 called Early Beginnings. The Gilmour Academy Montessori Program reflects the philosophy and teaching methods first established by Dr. Maria Montessori throughout Europe at the beginning of the 20^th century.  The Montessori Method is a proven educational theory. A certified Montessori teacher guides the child through Kindergarten in emotional, social, cognitive and physical growth.  The Montessori materials are designed to bring forth coordination, concentration, order and independence within the child.
