Blue & Gray Society
A Story of Growth
For more than 60 years under the leadership of the Brothers of Holy Cross, Gilmour Academy has grown from one modest classroom building, a few visionary educators, and a handful of pioneering students to occupy a prominent position among private coeducational Catholic schools in the United States. The continuing evolution of Gilmour has been nurtured by the financial and moral support of three generations of alumni, parents, and friends through the Annual Fund.
Membership in the Society is extended to donors who invest $2,000 or more per year in the Annual Fund. Your gifts are vitally important to an independent school, providing unrestricted support for essential programs including student financial assistance, curriculum development, athletics, student leadership, service, and Catholic pastoral ministry opportunities. These contributions allow Gilmour to continue its tradition of excellence through a morally-based education.
Blue & Gray Society Members
Blue & Gray Society members set the pace for the Annual Fund and your generous contributions provide the foundation of support for unrestricted giving and necessary growth. As the circle of Blue & Gray membership grows, so too does the Annual Fund - and the many opportunities it provides our students and faculty.
In 2002-2003, 71 charter members of the Blue & Gray Society gave $187,000 of the $400,000 Annual Fund total. The Blue & Gray Society has grown to over 175 members who contributed more than $475,000 to the Annual Fund's $650,000 total in 2010-2011.
