The Middle School Boys Basketball 7th Grade team held its own in a recent game against Valley Christian, which was a combined team of 7th and 8th graders.
The Varsity Girls Basketball team just keeps on winning. As of its most recent game against North Olmsted Wednesday night, which you can read about here. The team has compiled a record of 15-0.
The Girls Prep Hockey team improved to 9-1-1 in its last 11 contests with its most recent game being a 2-0 win against Shady Side Academy.
Last week it was two new pool records set by Zach Hostoffer '15 in the 200 Free and 100 Breast. This week, the lone male senior of the Varsity Swim team was at it again, setting a pool record in the 50 Free during Tuesday's Senior Night dual meet against St. Edward High School.
The Speech and Debate team had another incredible showing at this past weekend's Laurel Tournament, one of Cleveland's larger tournaments. Gilmour won the tournament, defeating Solon, Notre Dame Academy, Hathaway Brown, Laurel and Edison.

Gilmour's Speech and Debate Team has had a great start to the new year. Before school was even back in session, three of our members went to the Canfield Tournament in the Akron area.
The Varsity Girls Basketball team is off to a 13-0 start after its most recent win on January 12 against Holy Name High School. The team is averaging 73.4 points per game, having scored 954 points overall.
Two new pool records were set during a meet against Chagrin Falls on January 13 and both were recorded by Zach Hostoffer '15. He set the 200 Free record with a time of 1:49.50, as well as the 100 Breast record with a time of 59.98.
Any girl in grades 9 through 12 not playing a winter sport and planning to play softball this spring is encouraged to attend the softball team workouts, which take place in the Wellness Room from 3:45-4:30 p.m. on the following dates: January 15, 20, 22, 27, 29 and February 3, 5, 10, 12, 19.
After being off for Winter Break, the Middle School basketball teams are back in action and are hoping to have a great crowd for their games next week.

This past semester, Gilmour offered a class for Upper School students called Rebuilding Cleveland. The class introduced students to the challenges and opportunities of Cleveland's downtown and urban neighborhoods.
The Varsity A Hockey team is going to be in Chicago this weekend (Jan. 17-19) playing three games at the West Meadows Ice Arena, 3939 Winnetka Ave. Rolling Meadows, IL 60008.The game times are Saturday, Jan. 17 at 6 p.m.; Sunday, Jan. 18 at 10:30 a.m.; Monday, Jan. 19 at 10 a.m.
