Giving Opportunities

Gilmour Academy’s ability to thrive and to continue to be able to offer new generations of students an excellent education is due, in part, to its many loyal friends who donate their time, talent and financial resources to the Academy and its mission.

Annual Fund

The cornerstone of philanthropy is the Annual Fund which makes the most immediate impact on our students. Its focus to raise unrestricted funds which help restrain tuition costs for students beginning in Montessori Preschool and continuing through kindergarten through grade 12 by meeting a greater percentage of the Academy’s operating budget, and to provide need-based financial assistance to students who otherwise might not be able to afford a Gilmour education. The Annual Fund is used to attract and retain distingushed faculty, provide state-of-the-art technology and continue excellent academic and extracurricular programs.

Planned Gifts

Making arrangements today for a future gift to benefit Gilmour is a thoughtful gesture of gratitude that expresses your faith in our future. Planned giving can provide valuable tax benefits for the donor and provides Gilmour with substantial and meaningful gifts. "As I look back to the fall of 1946 when I arrived on the “campus” in Gates Mills, Ohio, I had no idea what was in store for me. I now know that everything my classmates and I did, was a first. From that time until this day, all of the students would follow and build upon what we had begun. So now when the Annual Fund appeal comes around, I feel we, the Class of ’50, still need to be the leaders and show we appreciate what Gilmour was, is and will be in the future!"
